Social Networking: A loss of privacy

My topic for this research paper will be on Social Networking and the loss of privacy. I was thinking about writing about the pros and cons of the uses of major social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. Most importantly, I want to focus on privacy issues and the loss of an individual's privacy because of the many ways people use these platforms. An example of a con that I plan to elaborate on in my paper is how easy it is for third party advertisers to access our personal information and how we need to be aware of these privacy terms when using social networks. A pro of social networks is the ability to connect with family and friends from far away. All in all, individuals have turned to social networks to put out their private personal thoughts, feelings, and much more. They do not realize how much they put on social network because it has become a norm to constantly be on them.
